The franchise is easily recognisable especially in Southeast Asia, as it is one of the most popular and recognisable IP from China. In the beginning of time, the first God of the universe, Pan Gu, lived an immortal life. But with no subjects to lord over, Pan Gu grew tired of his solitary existence and decided to decompose his body into five elements: fire, metal, wood, earth and water. With his divine power, Pan Gu forged these elements into air, land, mountains, rivers, seas and plant life and laid the foundation for a new world. It was then that Pan Gu made his first attempt to fill this new world with life. From his shadow he formed the first sentient beings. These unnamed creatures were uncivilized, and before long, they began corrupting the world around them. Pan Gu saw that what he had created had become an Imperfect World, and moved quickly to rectify his mistake. He built a floating city known as Heaven's Tear, and placed within the city the few creatures that had yet to be corrupted. Then, with the power of water and wind, Pan Gu created a massive flood, which swept through the land and destroyed all life in its path.

The world now cleansed, Pan Gu set about creating a new world, one filled with beings who were capable of Spiritual Cultivation. Between these races he created, the Perfect World was created. The chief quality that Pan Gu gave all three races was free will. He vowed never again to eradicate an entire species, so all conflicts between the races were to be resolved amongst themselves. One such conflict arose when humans and elves discovered the city of Heaven's Tear. A war erupted as they fought for control of the great city, bringing out the worst in both races. As the war intensified, and neither side relented, a new threat emerged.

The race that was thought to have been eradicated in the great flood returned in full force. These creatures were not quite living, but not quite dead, and thus came to be known as wraiths. The wraiths appeared to possess a singular objective: to destroy the other races and corrupt the beautiful world around them. Rumors swirled that the wraiths were capable of possessing other living things. Not much is known about the true nature of this evil, but one thing is clear:the races of this Perfect World must set aside their differences and unite to preserve their way of life, halt the spread of corruption, and above all, protect the land from which they came.

Upon uncovering a strange Wraith Plot, old memories are awakened and ancient mysteries become important. The player travels through time visiting various historic events in Perfect World.

The Millennium War is one of the main historical periods of Perfect World. Called the Millennium War because it lasted for a thousand years, this conflict between the Winged Elves and Humans only ended when the pressing threat of the Wraiths forced a truce. Understandably, there is still much animosity between the Elves and Humans. The initial cause of the strife and the even that brought tempers to a head leading to all out war, is known as the Massacre of Unicorn Forest. The story goes that the Winged Elves brutally murdered a group of humans, but as it is with history, stories vary.

But only by visiting other times of peril for Perfect World can the full truth be known. Another tale tells of the northern Savagians who invaded the western Human countries. Led by the dark lord Wanyi, they advanced rapidly to the Valley of the Scarred, where the City of the Lost is now located. The whole West Land fought the Savagians at the Valley of the Scarred. In the early days of the war, the allied force was almost wiped out. The West Land was in danger, until a defender came with help from an unlikely ally and saved Perfect World. Who was this powerful friend?

Answering this question ultimately leads to even more intriguing mysteries, namely the situation surrounding the fall of the Twilight Empire. The player must research the real story behind Chungyun and the Princess of Moonlight. As the saga unfolds, the player will fight through Nimbustian Guards and have a chance to meet this couple of legend, ultimately making a choice that will change the fate of the present.

There is a world in where the abundance of creatures we know can live, our Perfect World. However, there exists other worlds, such as the Underworld where ghosts live, where things are totally different from the Perfect World. Besides these two worlds, there is another mystical world in this universe, the Elemental World.

The five elements, metal, wood, water, fire and earth, are the basis for system of life in Perfect World. This system existed before the gods created human, and it dominates the birth, age, illness and death of all creatures. Some people, after hardworking cultivation, have been able to learn a few elemental skills. However, few know the true meaning of the five elements.
Perfect World, the Underworld and the Elemental World exist in a delicate balance together. In the Elemental World, the Five Elemental Airs, each with a distinct color, dominate everything. The Five Elemental Airs system of the Elemental World is deeply intertwined with the Five Elements system in Perfect World. Anytime a system in one world becomes unbalanced, the other world will feel the change.

Before the worlds were created, the universe was in chaos, there were no elements, no creatures, no feeling and no thought. As billions of years passed, things began to evolve. In the endless war between the Eastern Emperor Ching and Yaksa Tribes, Ching killed a god who was worshiped by Yaksa Tribes. This incident greatly destroyed the root of water and wood, unbalancing the Five Element System. At the same time, gods have been disappearing, ghosts are peeping everywhere, the situation has become worse and worse, and it seems that Perfect World may be coming to its end... However, the Genies, with their innate instinct of maintaining the balance of the Five Elements System, have risen to save Perfect World.

Nuevas razas:
- Asesino: Los asesinos nacieron de la guerra. Un antiguo conflicto entre los Hijos de las Mareas y las Estacas de la Noche (NightPikes) genero esta nueva raza de soldados, que se crecieron en el sigilo y el engaño.
Enfocandose primariamente en el combate fisico, esta raza de Tideborn usa armadura ligera, y es mas agil que los Blademasters y Barbarians. Maestros de las dagas, sus ataques son rapidos y eficientes. Siendo maestros de la anatomia, estos soldados siempre apuntan a las partes vitales del cuerpo, enfocandose en inflingir daño critico.
- Psiquicos: La mayor parte de la magia en Perfect World es gobernada por los cinco elementos. Los Psiquicos manipulan y guian el poder mas primitivo, uno que no esta atado a ningun elemento, el poder de las almas.
Los Psiquicos llevan tunicas magicas, y utilizan esferas del alma como arma. Se dice que estas esfereas del alma se forman al absorber energia de espiritus caidos.

- El Palacio del Nirvana:
El Palacio del Nirvana es una antigua prision Tideborn. Se ha dicho que era parte del Palacio Real de los Tideborn. De todas maneras, en tiempos rcientes, la prision ha sido ocupada por los no-muertos. Desde entonces, el Palacio del Nirvana ha sido un sitio prohibido para los Tideborns. Recientemente, un anciano misterioso ha aparecido diciendo tener un metodo para vecer a los no-muertos: El invita a todos los heroes en Perfect World a entrar al Palacio del Nirvana. El anciano clama que si cualquier heroe pasa las pruebas del Nirvana, los secretos de los no-muertos pueden ser desbloqueados, junto a grandes y poderosos artefactos.
- Ciudad de las Mareas Furiosas:
La capital de los Tideborns es una maravilla a ser contemplada. El etilo de las estructuras de la ciudad es ampliamente basado en el oceano. Sillas de esqueletos de peces, empapelado vinilico con diseño de olas, y baldosas de escalope cubren la ciudad desde el piso al cielo. Estos elementos, aunque sutiles, estan profundamente relacionados con la cultura Tideborn. Las esquinas filosas como dagas en los edificios representan las armas del pueblo, y sutilmente enfatizan su historia inclinada a la guerra.

5 - Descent ("El descenso" ó "La caida") /

Long ago, evil specters roamed about the universe aimlessly. Perfect World’s creator, Pan Gu, having mercy on them, created a world just for them – the distant realm of Morai. The sole gateway to Perfect World from Morai was placed in Elysium Village, and a protective enchantment ensured that creatures remained in their respective worlds.
Until now.
Elysium Village lies in ruins, the protective enchantment destroyed, its inhabitants’ lifeless corpses scattered on its stone paths. Someone is organizing the evil specters of Morai, amassing a terrifying army in preparation for a full-scale assault on the cities of Perfect World. The leaders of the allied races have conferred, and a preliminary expedition mission into Morai has been planned. It now falls on the shoulders of Perfect World’s mightiest heroes to enter the portal into hostile territory…

Hēi yào (o Dark Radiance) nace a partir de Líng yào (Radiance)
Líng yào (Radiance) Es un personaje de una expansión de un juego online un MMORPG , es originalmente chino de ahi que se base mucho en su mitología china como la creación del mundo conocido en el juego como "Perfect World" etc, pero tambien hay agregados .
En cada expansion del game hay un tema o historia , en el caso de esta es la llamada expansion (pero al ingles le dieron el nombre de "Descent" - "El descenso" ó "La caida") en el que aparece el, nos cuenta su historia.
Líng yào (cuyo nombre al ingles lo tradujeron como Radiance) era uno de los dioses creadores que velaba porque el equilibrio entre el bien y el mal en el mundo "Perfect World" se mantenga, pero este se rompió ya que su constante trabajo lo debilitó (dificultado asu vez por los males surgidos en el "Perfect World") y así terminó siendo corrompido, naciendo en el una contra parte maligna , que se llamó Hēi yào (o Dark Radiance).
Aqui lo explico mas, a medida que la codicia humana y la rabia en los últimos años crecía, aparecían más y más residuos de almas , lo que resulta en un desequilibrio del Yin y el Yang, es decir el Caos. El Dios de la creación , Radiance ó 灵曜 Líng yào (Bright / glorious Spirit/ soul ), realizaba su mision de equilibrar el yin y el yang, día tras día, purificando a los wraiths (espectros o fantasmas), pero cada una de esas purificaciónes lo lastimaba y entristecía; la fe le fué flaqueando poco a poco hasta que se dividió en dos almas, una la del creyente fiel, y la otra es una completa herejía. Desde entonces, el Dios de la creación habita en la oscuridad entre la misión y la traición. Y este hijo del caído Dios de la creación es : 黑曜 Hēi yào (Bright/ glorious black /dark ) Obsidiana.
Pero como dios de la creación caído que aun le quedaba algo de lucidez , se dio cuenta de que la única forma de eliminar esta eminente y poderosísima amenaza (ya que era nacida de él, un dios), era la de autoinmolarse a si mismo para eliminar a Hēi yào (o Dark Radiance) y así salvar al mundo (Perfect World) y asi lo hizo... el plan hubiera sido exitoso (de eliminar a Dark) si es que no hubiera intervenido el Señor de los espectros (luego de que se autodestruyó Radiance), que salvo a esa parte malvada nacida del dios caido pero ahora ya como un ente independiente que se conocería como Hēi yào (o Dark Radiance), y por esto este último se convirtío en servidor del Señor de los espectros, y permanece a su lado como un poderoso ejecutor que incluso es capaz de devorar a otros espectros (monstruos) para asi hacerse cada vez aún mas poderoso, mientras que a la par va aniquilando al resto de los habitantes del "Perfect world"

Sirens of War, four great leaders from distant lands have come forth, bringing with them an endless war of nations, along with opportunities to win incredible power and glory.
The rise of Jian’rin brought a wave of uncertainty to the people of Perfect World, as well as opportunities for those willing to sacrifice others to satisfy their own ends. Now that the forces of the Dark Lord, Jian'Rin, have spilled into Perfect World, the world has been set ablaze. Lines have been drawn and forces have mobilized to determine supremacy in this new age.

Four leaders from distant nations have come to Perfect World, sowing dissent and fomenting war. Amidst the chaos, they have emerged with the intent of wresting control for dominance. The nations of Frost, Flame, Light, and Darkness are stuck in deadlock and will require the aid of warriors such as yourself to push forward with their plans.

The citizens and soldiers of Perfect World, still reeling from the attacks by Jian’rin, were left vulnerable to a new threat: a series of endless wars brought by the four leaders, long forgotten. Enticed with the promise of power, riches, and glory beyond reckoning, the people of Perfect World flocked to fight as mercenaries in the proxy wars held by these foreign leaders.

For what purpose have these leaders come to Perfect World? To what end do they fight? Many believe that they have come seeking new claims of power in Perfect World, while others have faith that they represent the only hope to stand against Jian’rin’s endless horde of wraiths. Are these battles a whetstone against which the warriors of Perfect World will sharpen their skills and strengths, or are the people of Perfect World being blunted against an implacable enemy, mere pawns in some greater scheme?

Nightshade
The Nightshade are descendants of the reapers, who were descendants of the son of Pan Gu. When he was mortally wounded, he used the last of his strength to grant the reapers mortality so as to outlive him. The reapers came to Perfect World, and protected it from the shadows for many years until recently. They have since stepped into the light to aid the other races in defeating the Wraiths.

History
A race called the Reapers lived in the Realm of Garrow, home of their creator, the Divine Child Cangyan. After many centuries, an invasion by the Twilight Empire caused the Realm of Garrow to fall in chaos. Cangyan transformed into a golden dragon, sacrificing his life to destroy the invaders. With the last bit of his power he gave his children the ability to survive without him. Renaming themselves to Nightshade, they constructed a fleet of flying ships and traveled to Perfect World. The fleet was soon built into a floating city, which they named Dawnglory. As descendants of a Divine Child, they have a much longer lifespan than other races.

Eclipse Launch Day Trailer
Perfect World International has expanded today with the launch of Eclipse. The expansion brings a unified starter zone, a new endgame dungeon, an overhauled skill training system, optimized dailies, and new ranked gear. In addition, every player logging in between now and January 17th will receive a free Illusionary Crystal that, on use, instantly boosts characters to level 95. Lastly, the Nightshade race enters the game with two distinct classes, the Stormbringer and the Duskblade.

Created by the son of Pan Gu, the Reapers once guarded the Celestial Vale. Bound to the life of the Divine Child, they defended him until he was mortally wounded in batle.

The rebellion of the evil prisoners caused the Realm of Garrow to fall into disorder. Seeing this, the Divine Child Cangyan transformed into a golden dragon, and sacrificed his life to destroy teh evil prisioners. At the last moment, the Divine Child sent the Realm of Garrow to Perfect World, to find a resting place for his people.

With the last of his strength, the Divine Child freed the Reapers from his service and sent them to Perfect World. Now know as the Nightshades, they draw upon the power of the moon to batle evil in all its forms.

Duskblade: Swift and Dangerous combatants, they turn melee combat into a deadly dance with their Sabers.
Stormbringer: Wielders of ice and thunder magic, they use their scythes to channel raging storms against their foes.

Official Elysium Launch Trailer - Gameplay Trailer
Elysium arrives. For the first time, players will be able to build and furnish their own housing with the Homestead System. These lavish structures will serve as a safe haven for wandering travelers, where players can also craft items, offer contract jobs and generate precious resources. The new expansion also introduces a new 10-player instance called Uncharted Paradise, where players must team up with others to defeat a series of difficult bosses in exchange for rewards. Elysium also introduces plenty of other gameplay updates, including max-level weapons, upgraded gear, plus new fashion, mounts and flyers.

Perfect World – 2 new classes: LAUNCHER/Gunner & KNIGHT/Paladin alike
Released in China server the last 31 October 2018
The China server of Perfect World is welcoming 2 new classes on October 31 as part of it massive game content update, and they are known as:
“神机” (Shén jī) for the Human race (female only) LAUNCHER alike and “羽锋” (Yǔ fēng) for the Winged Elf race (male only) KNIGHT alike.
The class names can’t be literally translated, so I will just localize them as Engineer and Winged vanguard.
Technician * “神机” (Shén jī) for the Human race (female only) LAUNCHER alike
Wielding a giant cannon, the Engineer class specializes in explosive fire attacks, mechanisms and traps.

Edgerunner * “羽锋” (Yǔ fēng) for the Winged Elf race (male only) KNIGHT alike.
The Winged Vanguard is a tank class with the sword and shield, though a curiously blacken pair of wings and cosmetics.

According to the official lore, this splinter group of the Winged Elf race worship an unknown demonic idol and thus fell to the dark side, hence giving them their black wings and armor designs. Apparently, they are now on our side, since the Winged Vanguard is a playable class soon.
